Santos has fired coach Oswaldo de Oliveira after poor results in the Brazilian league following the World Cup break. Santos has had six losses in nine league matches since the World Cup, and dropped to 11th in the 20-team standings. The team added former Brazil star Robinho to the squad last month but the struggles continued. Oliveira coached Santos in 44 games, winning 25 and losing 10.
